here is a feeling of stagnation with a dash of artificial entertainment with the title of this song being a reference to Tom Robbins' "Still Life with Woodpecker" to illustrate my frustrations because why cant i be a princess or an outlaw and why cant someone swoop in and bombard this still life with dynamite and camel packs and prison cells why is everything so damn rigid these days cant they see the rising tide will wash their castles away cant we agree that the kings and queens and monarchies all had their place in history and leave them comfy ie they scream dont mess with me
